At GIMME, we are dedicated to providing efficient and reliable delivery services across New Zealand. This policy outlines how we handle orders, deliveries, and compliance with New Zealand’s alcohol regulations to ensure a seamless experience for our customers.


1. Delivery (Same-day Auckland Region, Christchurch city, Dunedin City, Tauranga City)  (Next Business day - Anywhere else in NZ)

  • Auckland Region : 45 mins delivery - Anywhere From Whangaparoa to Pukekohe, From Henderson to Howick. 

 

  • Christchurch City : 45 mins delivery -  Hornby to Sumner, Belfast to Lyttleton

 

  • Dunedin City : 45 mins delivery - All areas including Mosgiel. 

 

  • Tauranga City 

 

  • On-Demand Delivery:
    GIMME operates as an on-demand delivery service within city limits, ensuring orders are delivered promptly between 45-60 mins from the time of order confirmation.

  • Orders Outside City Limits:
    For orders placed outside city limits, delivery is managed through our partnered logistics providers and is completed to the nearest depot within 1 to 2 business days.


2. Same-Day Shipping

  • Orders placed through the GIMME Website or Mobile Application before the daily cutoff time will be processed and dispatched on the same day wherever possible.
  • Orders placed after the cutoff time will be processed the following business day.

3. Stock Availability and Replacements

  • If an item in your order is out of stock, GIMME will notify you and suggest a suitable replacement.
  • Replacement items will only be shipped upon receiving your approval.
  • If no replacement is agreed upon, you will be refunded for the unavailable item.

4. Communication and Updates

  • Customers will receive timely notifications via email or SMS, including:

    • Order confirmation.
    • Shipping and delivery updates.
    • Notifications for any delays or changes.
  • Ensure you provide a valid email address and mobile number when placing your order.


5. Delivery Address

  • Please provide the correct delivery address when placing your order.
  • Our drivers will use the GIMME Mobile Application and phone communication to contact you upon arrival.

6. Delivery Conditions

  • Customer Absence:
    • If you are unavailable at the delivery location and do not respond to calls within 5 minutes, the driver will:

      • Not leave liquor unattended and the order will be returned back to the store.

    • Alcohol Deliveries:

      • Alcohol orders cannot be left unattended due to New Zealand’s legal age verification requirements.
      • Driver will Take a picture for verification in from his GIMME app.
      • Mark your order as delivered.
      • If delivery fails, the item will be returned to the partnered store.
      • A return fee will apply, and the delivery fee will not be refunded. Only the cost of the alcohol will be refunded.

7. Limitations and Liability

While GIMME strives for the best delivery experience, certain factors beyond our control (e.g., traffic, weather conditions, or unforeseen incidents) may impact delivery times.

  • In such cases, customers will be notified, and updated delivery timelines will be provided.

8. Alcohol Licensing and Compliance

  • GIMME operates in full compliance with New Zealand’s Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.

  • Proof of age (18+ in New Zealand) is required for all alcohol deliveries. Acceptable forms of identification include:

    • New Zealand Driver's License.
    • Passport.
    • Kiwi Access Card.
  • Alcohol deliveries are subject to the following regulations:

    • Deliveries cannot be made to intoxicated persons.
    • Deliveries must comply with store operating hours and local licensing laws.
